My name is Laurin Crosby
A little bit about me- I'm 29 years old this year, married of 12 years and have a 8 year old daughter.
I paint with light. If you love color, adventures, fun during your photoshoot you are in the right place.
My style is described as colorful, Bright: bold and vivid colors
I don't fit into a box, I show the work that I love and I create the work that I love. The fact that I get to share that with you and my beautiful clients, is truly a gift to me.
Started photography in Highschool ....back in the day (2008)
I graduated in 2012 from Ferris High School and took 4 years of Filmmaking, and 1 year of Photography. I really enjoyed film class over photography class. The business side of photography came years later when I had my daughter!!! My mom bought my first camera, because I really wanted to offer photoshoots just for fun before I even started charging, I had more to learn ! She wanted to really see me shine and so apricated that jump start help!
I had my daughter in 2015, in July, just 2 days after 4th of July.
I was able to be a stay at home mom for 8 going on 9 years now! But when I first had our daughter Lacie, I wanted to do some crafting like make custom tutu skirts, custom T-shirts, onesies, hoodies, car deals, you name it!!! I made a business LC Tutu Creations, I still want to craft again I just have 0 room for it lol. But when I made custom tutus and onesies, I offered free mini sessions of my clients wearing their cute outfits/smash cake sessions if my clients wanted that. I have learned SO SO SO much from local photographers, far away photographers, I'm in a lot of groups and theirs always something cool to learn!
I've taken some courses online, and plan to take more newborn classes just to get more posing down. I think safety for every session is so important! I have had a camera in my hand for ever it feels like! But like I was saying I have been a stay at home mommy forever.
I have worked a part time job at a retirement home right up the road from me working in the kitchen and dinning room but in 2020 I left my job 3 months after the pandemic hit and became a FULL time photographer and have never looked back. It was a big leap for me. I'm thankful for everyone investing in me, rooting for me even if they can't afford my pricing, or save up just to work with you. You are amazing!!! Thank you! So blessed.
My goal is to get into more Magazines!! :D
I went to WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photography International) a big photography convention in Las, Vegas 2023! It was the best!
